Mark Keeley & Holiday Rock in Spain 2004
Myself and other members of the committee thought that we would try this
first holiday in Spain arranged by Mr Mark Keeley and the team
at Holiday Rock. This was a new venture by Mark so no one knew
really what to expect. We had all read the brochure as to what
had been planned, but then as with so many other travel companies
just because it’s in the brochure it is not always necessarily
what you’ll get, but as we know Mark and trusted him we all decided
to go. *
Smooth Flight
We all arrived at Bristol Airport and were checked in within 5 minutes
of our arrival and the flight left on time for Reus, Spain. The
flight seemed to pass quickly as there was a buzz of excitement
and anticipation in the air. When we arrived at Reus the transfer
between the hotel was short and sweet – unlike some holidays we
have been on! We arrived at the Estival Park 4-star hotel, which
was going to be our home for the next 2 weeks, in the early hours,
and were greeted by friendly staff who quickly sorted out our
rooms.
We were going to have a Ball
In the morning we woke up to glorious sunshine and knew England was
far behind us. We all met up for breakfast and were surprised
to see so many faces that we recognised and we knew it was going
to be a ball. As the day and the week progressed this holiday
just got better and better. As it was all inclusive we did not
need to spend anything in the hotel at all and Mark had arranged
for a beer pump to be installed in the Dance Hall which you could
help yourself to. This was a bit strange to us as no one had ever
thought of this before but it was put to good use during the week.
Thanks Mark, what a great idea. The evening entertainment of both
bands and DJs was excellent. We had loads of fun with the Big
Bounce and Kav Kavanagh down at the waterfront long after the
venue had closed. During the day it was sunshine and music around
the pool and we also had a rock ‘n’ roll related quiz organised
by John of Good Rockin Tonight and his wife Jo. Everyone made
up team names and took part. We were The Hunters as we had Jonnie
Fox as our captain. We didn’t win but it was fun to take part
and we had all the sunshine and free drinks that we wanted. What
a result (now who used to say that?).
Party On
Sadly the end of the first week came and we had to say goodbye to some
friends, but as for the rest of us it was Party On – so we did,
in great style. We made full use of the Jacuzzis, the fully equipped
gym and much more.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end and on the last day there
were many people with tears in their eyes as they did not want
to leave.
Best Ever Holiday
I and my friends have been on many rock ‘n’ roll themed related
holidays and we have enjoyed each one. But I found this the Best
Ever. It was the Best Organised and with it being all-inclusive,
it was tremendous value for money. Everything was excellent, and
I would tell anyone who wanted a fantastic holiday to book the
next one.
We would like to thank Mark Keeley and all the team at Holiday Rock
for a fantastic holiday, and we appreciate all your hard work
it took to organise it so well.
Can’t wait for next year.
Thank you

That’s what makes them the best.)
